Dr. Carter grew up in Whitehouse, Texas, and has always had a deep-rooted connection to the East Texas community. After earning his bachelor’s degree from ETBU and his medical degree from UT Houston, he completed his residency in Family Medicine and spent 15 years in emergency medicine. In 2016, he founded MyMD Select in Tyler to offer a more personal, accessible, and community-driven model of care.

Dr. Jamie Kirby, MD — Wellness-Focused, Results-Driven Care
Dr. Kirby was born in San Antonio and raised as an Army kid, giving her a unique perspective on resilience and adaptability. She returned to Texas for medical school at Texas A&M and has practiced in Tyler since 2012 alongside her husband, Dr. Jake Kirby. With nearly 20 years of experience, she specializes in urgent care, primary care, aesthetics, and teaching.

Stephanie grew up in Shreveport and earned her Biology degree from ETBU, where she met her husband, Dr. Clint Carter. She went on to complete her master’s in physician assistant studies at UTMB Galveston. After two years in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery and 14 years in cardiology, she transitioned to family medicine in 2016 with the opening of MyMD Select. She’s passionate about long-term patient relationships and helping people thrive through preventive care.
Laura Roberts, Nurse Practitioner
Laura, a Tyler native and UT Austin graduate, is certified in both Acute Care and Family Practice. Since 2004, she’s worked in internal medicine, ICU, and as a hospitalist. She teaches at UT Tyler and is a certified Tea Specialist. Laura and her husband, a CRNA and Army reservist, are active in the Tyler community and passionate about senior dog rescue. She brings wisdom, heart, and depth to every patient encounter.
Chris Lambert, Nurse Practitioner
Chris became a chiropractor in 1989 and later earned a diploma in Chiropractic Orthopedics. He was the 50th chiropractor worldwide certified by the McKenzie Institute, a method that teaches patients how to self-treat spine and joint issues. He later became a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2013. Chris loves educating patients on movement and function, and his background gives him a unique lens on musculoskeletal health.
Blaise Davis, Nurse Practitioner
Blaise earned his BSN and MSN from UT Arlington and is certified by both AANP and ANCC. A U.S. Army veteran, he brings experience in internal medicine, urgent care, mental health, and first response. He’s passionate about personalized care and helping patients reach their health goals. Blaise recently completed his certification in Functional Medicine, deepening his commitment to root-cause wellness.
